Automobile Accidents

Medical malpractice and hospital negligence occurs when a professional health care provider fails to adhere to accepted standards of care.
During his 20+ years of practice, Mr. Jacobs has handled hundreds of medical malpractice and hospital negligence cases both as a defense attorney and as a plaintiff's attorney. Mr. Jacobs previously worked as a defense attorney representing physicians and hospitals in medical malpractive cases. It is there that he learned the techniques, tactics and insight into defense strategy. In essence, he learned "how the other side thinks" in these types of cases.
Wrongful Death
A wrongful death case is filed when the wrongful or negligent conduct of a person or corporation causes the death of another person. A wrongful death lawsuit is brought by a personal representative on behalf of the estate of the deceased person (i.e. surviving spouse and/or children) against the individuals or companies responsible for the person's death. Damages awarded in a wrongful death case are generally designed to compensate the family members of the deceased individual for their loss.

Premises liability generally refers to accidents that occur to an individual while on someone else’s property, whether it's a "slip and fall" or a dog bite. These landowners include homeowners, business owners and municipalities. Landowners are responsible for maintaining their property and facilities in a safe condition for their guests and tenants. This means keeping their premises in a safe condition so as to prevent accidents.
